This gorgeous green quartz is headed to its new home soon. It’s a fairly straightforward design- a secure bezel setting with a bunny-ear bail. Pretty sure that’s not the technical term, but it sure looks like it should be!

This style bail will hold the pendant steady on its chain. It’s made from two pieces of silver square stock, which are shaped with pliers and fitted together carefully. Angles have to be cut in each piece to close the loops and fit them against the bezel.
At this point, there’s just some clean up work to do before setting the stone. I’ll bring the silver up to a shiny finish with small polishing wheels and a brass brush before setting.
Here’s the final piece:

The silver frame on this crisp green-with-a-trace-of-blue quartz beautifully, and it really sparkles in the sun.
