Gearing up for the Contemporary Craft Market this November!

I'm really stoked to have been invited to the Contemporary Craft Market this November 13-15 in Pasadena, CA. This is my first time doing a show, and even though I've worked on the administrative side of a show, I still feel like there is a lot I don't know about selling at one.
BUT. All it takes is working on one project at a time. There are display elements to make, marketing materlials to design and print, and of course jewelry to make! Not to mention photograph.

I've been able to do some casting recently at the Irvine Arts Center. Transforming plants into metal is one of those wierd things I just really, really like doing. The next step is to make a few molds of key components to reproduce elements, since casting from the actual plant is always hit or miss. I have been enjoying the results of all this hard work though. It's a joy to be at my bench every day, solving small problems and thinking though designs. Keep an eye out for a big store update soon; new work and better photography are coming up soon.
